Anthropods, endless possibilities...

The Anthropods’ Blériot models offer a unique range of off-ground and re-locatable pods for leisure and commercial markets.

Named as homage to the pioneering French aviator, Louis Blériot (the first to fly the English Channel in 1909), the semi-monocoque construction and leg design enable the pods to be situated in areas of temporary flooding or water run-off, and our 5-meter high ‘Blériot Sky’ model offers outstanding views of the countryside. In addition, the legs only require minimal groundworks/footings.

Fully specified and fitted-out

Anthropods are designed and built in England using wherever possible, sustainably sourced & recyclable materials with a design-life in excess of 25 years, and unlike many competitor products, come fully specified and fitted-out for prompt installation and use.

Anthropods in-house design capabilities can also offer customers bespoke interiors and features… just call and discuss your requirements. We can also provide leg options that allow for placing the pods on sloping sites.

“The Anthropod units never fail to intrigue and be enjoyed by our wedding guests, whatever time of the year.”
Jessica Barker, owner, Thief Hall Wedding Venue, Northallerton, North Yorkshire

Our pods are delivered fully assembled onsite with standard flatbed lorries with loader crane. To make sure everything runs smoothly, our team will also look after delivery and set-down.

*FSC = Forestry Stewardship Council; certifies forests all over the world to ensure they meet the highest environmental and social standards.

Our Blériot Leisure range

The unique features of the pod create memorable customer experiences and command elevated rental prices with subsequent benefits to the ROI (return on investment)

The simple, stylish and robustly designed interiors also enable speedy and low-cost housekeeping turnaround.

“The Anthropod we have from you is still getting a lot of publicity. Soon we will be in the newspaper again. Very nice. It has brought us a lot.”
Jan van der Heide, Camping Vreehorst

The latest breathable membrane and recycled insulation materials are used, with FSC* natural timber, watertight modular showers, and a choice of end-panel colours provide contemporary accommodation that can serve the increasing demands of individuals & site-operators looking for year-round rental and use in a variety of climates.

All our glamping pods come fully fitted and include all white goods and mattresses with covers, providing a ‘plug-and-play’ unit that can be occupied the same day as installation.

Our Blériot model leisure pods only incur a 5% VAT rate.

Our Blériot Commercial range

The Blériot Tilly provides an extended internal floorplan to serve a wide variety of uses, and offers sustainable and re-locatable commercial accommodation solutions with the option of disabled access. Available in both 5m and 7m long versions, we normally supply this unit with lighting and power, however the design team at Anthropods can also provide a bespoke interior solution to suit your needs if required.

“We had been casting around for something different to shepherds’ huts and the many ‘upturned boat’ design pods/glorified rabbit hutches that are ubiquitous here in Scotland. The fact that Rik Currie, Anthropod creator and CEO, is an industrial designer, who evidently has a flair for making the most of small spaces, is obvious.
An “Anthropod” is an engineered product, built to last and the price point reflects this. I am a customer who knows what he wants and looks for excellence, not mediocrity, in everything I do. The team at Anthropods were quick to make my suggested improvements and additions during the build process and to commission the pod after it had arrived.”
James Cuthbertson, Owner The Highland Gateway Glamping and Caravanning, Clackmannanshire, Scotland.
