Rave Reception to the Anthropods Launch
Posted 26th September 2018
The Glamping Show at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire was the venue for the introduction of the prototype, four berth Anthropod created by industrial designer Rik Currie.
The show, held over three days (Sept-20-22), was an unprecedented success with queues of people waiting patiently in the rain every day to view the innovative Anthropod design. Over 275 people expressed great interest in the pod with many asking for layout plans and quotes. The unique registered design legs proved to be a real head-turner with many prospective customers asking for different leg lengths to accommodate raked hillside locations or tree-canopy height pods.
Customers from the hotel, leisure, wedding venues, pub groups and temporary accommodation sectors from throughout Great Britain showed a keen interest in Anthropods as they seek out additional, luxury bed space but with a different twist. In addition, enquiries were received from export markets including Eire, Holland, Spain, Portugal, France, Norway, Russia, New Zealand and Singapore, confirming the belief of the export potential of Anthropods.
Anthropod founders Rik Currie and Douglas Adamson want too thank the many interested glamping/camping and other leisure sector operators for the overwhelming enthusiasm shown for Anthropods and we look forward to getting back to all those interested parties who have asked for more information, quotes and meetings in the coming weeks.
“With current orders in the pipe-line we are anticipating a 3-4 month build time. We are urging customers to place their orders soon to ensure pre-Easter delivery,” said CEO, Rik Currie.
