Anthropods Delivering Quick Results For New Scottish Glamping Site

Posted 4th August 2022

Owners of Highland Glamping and Caravanning in Clackmannan, near Stirling, opened their new site in April this year and features the first of several planned Bleriot Plus 4 berth models, plus 6 touring caravan/motor home pitches.

Occupancy rates have beaten all expectations for a new location, recording 80% plus since opening and gaining consistent 5 star ratings for the Anthropod, as recorded by Sykes Holiday Cottages, their booking agents.

James and Lynn Cuthbertson have invested heavily in their new site installing eco-friendly drainage and waste treatment systems and landscaping the site sympathetically. The Anthropod has an exterior hot tub and overhead canopy with extensive decking and an alfresco dining area. Highland Gateway is located on a quiet family farm and enjoys long distance views of the Ochill Mountains.

‘This is an ideal stop-over point for people wanting to explore the Stirling area which has many places of interest,’ says owner manager, Lynn Cuthbertson. ‘The famous Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument, Helix Park and the Kelpies equine sculptures are all on our doorstep, and Loch Lomond and the stunning Trossachs National park are just 1 hour 25 minutes away.’

The better than expectations results means that Highland Gateway’s second Anthropod is now being designed and will be ready for delivery in late 2022/early 2023.

‘It is very gratifying to see our customers achieve success and witness Anthropod users enjoying the unique design and comfort of our pods. It also endorses our claims that differentiation and quality delivers faster returns on investment,’ says Rik Currie, Anthropod CEO.
